The Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS Reviewed

The Garmin Nuvi 360 is a 3.5-inch portable gps device.  It has a ton of features wrapped into its small package.  It has Bluetooth, text-to-speech technology, a personal translator, multi-media entertainer and tour guide function.

The Bluetooth capabilities of this unit allow you to place a receive hands free calls if you have a Bluetooth enabled cell phone.  Simply pair the two Bluetooth devices and enjoy a safer driving experience.  When the gps and your phone are connected via Bluetooth, you’ll be able to not only place and receive calls hands free but also lookup any number in your contact list, or any one of the six million points of interest names, number or addresses in the gps’s database and even have it dial the number for you if you like.  This unit goes above and beyond navigating and hands free calling by also featuring a built in mp3 player, audio book player, picture viewer, alarm, currency converters and more.

It comes pre-loaded with North America maps and can be updated via a USB cable connection to your computer.  You can even change the map it uses to another continent if you need to.  Also included is a vehicle suction cup mount, AC charger, car charger, USB cable, carrying case, getting started guide and of course the owner’s manual.

In navigating mode, the unit is phenomenal.  It quickly re-routes if you miss your turn or your exit so you are never lost.  This unit speaks the directions clearly and even says the exact street name it’s asking you to turn onto.  This is a great feature because instead of hearing “Turn right”, you hear “Turn right on Main Street” which makes a huge difference if you have no clue where you are or you’re in heavy traffic.   Speaking of traffic, this unit can automatically re-route you around an accident ahead because it receives live traffic and weather info as it happens.  I have personally been saved by this feature.  If you’re on your way somewhere in rush hour traffic and there’s a wreck 2 miles ahead, instead of sitting in that traffic for hours it will simply route you off of the next exit and take you around it.  This is by far my favorite feature of this unit.  In my mind, the gps paid for itself saving me from sitting in hours of traffic.

I must say, this gps is not perfect because every blue moon I know a faster way to go than it does but overall it does a fantastic job getting you where you need to be.

What is the best bluetooth headset for LG phones?

Question by Sara: What is the best bluetooth headset for LG phones?
I have tried the Erricson HBH608 and Motorola HS850 (read good reviews on it on the web) but people can’t seem to hear me well with it on. I can hear them fine but they can’t hear me and they end up telling me to not use the headset because it’s not clear. Does anybody have any recommendations about what bluetooth headset would be clear for both ends?

Best answer:

Answer by simpsjd
The H700 is a great fit for the LG phones (I have the 8300), and used the HS850, then tried the H700 and switched immediately. The second choice seems to be the Jabra BT500v (my Wife and her 8600). With both headsets the noise cancellation is remarkable, and the volume on both ends is good. I like the way the Motorola fits more than the Jabra but that is just a personal preference.

HP Laptop Reviews

This article will I start from the history of HP. Let’s begin. A classmate of Bill Hewlett, along with Dave Packard of Stanford University went ahead to find Hewlett Packard (HP)   in the year 1939. The first product from the company, which is an audio oscillator, produced in Palo Alto garage. That was one of the electronic instruments utilized by the sound engineers.

One of HP’s first customers is the ‘Walt Disney Studios’. They bought 8 oscillators to develop and test the new-fangled sound system to make a fantasy film. At this time, Hewlett Packard or HP Company, the topmost Corporation with respect to the information technology or IT industry. HP is the organization known as the printing industry revolution. In addition, this is a pioneer in the computer world.

HP has; indeed, replace the Dell computers off late in the terms of computer sales and shipments. HP is the common name now, as far as printers and related technologies are concerned. In the last few years, HP laptops and tablet PCs has won the hearts of people. In 2002, Compaq Inc. goes on to merge with Hewlett Packard. Thus forming the largest single entity in the computer industry.

Through this acquisition, HP has surpassed Dell and IBM / Lenovo computers. After some difficulty following the merger and some marketing realignment and restructuration, HP has done a great job in presenting attractive laptop and build their leadership in the market.

Nowadays, HP has divided its home and small office laptop offering in four broad categories in order to reach their different targets. Let’s we summarize the specifics of each of these lines:

Versatile Performance

These are your standards laptops. It is the ones that you are most likely to find at most retailers. They are equipped with RAM goes from 1GB to 4 GB, the hard drives vary in between 120 GB and 320 GB and a 15.4″ screen. They weight around 7 pounds. They come with the standard wifi and Bluetooth elements. Their prices vary from $ 650 to $ 1,200. The laptops included in this line are the followings: HP Pavilion dv4z, dv4t HP Pavilion HP Pavilion dv2700t and HP Pavilion tx2500z.

Entertainment Powerhouse

We are now entering the desktop replacement category; screen varies between 17″ or 20.1″. The hardrives go from 120 GB to 640 GB; RAM goes from 2 GB to 4 GB, a choice of quality graphics card. They weigh around 4, 6-15,3 pounds. They also come with the standard wifi and Bluetooth elements and more extensions than normal laptops. Their prices vary from $ 800 to $ 1900. The laptops included in this line are the followings: HP Pavilion dv7z, HP Pavilion dv7t, HP Pavilion dv9700t, and HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment Notebook PC.

• Special Edition

In short, it’s all about the look! Think about the special edition, you do not want a laptop that looks like someone else, and then this is for you. Inside, it was more or less a mix of the versatile and mobility lines. So that HP can adjust to both segments. Screen vary in between 14.1 “or 15.4″. The hardrives go from 120 GB to 320 GB; RAM goes from 2 GB to 4 GB. They weigh around 5,3-6,1 kg. They also come with the standard wifi and Bluetooth elements. Their prices vary from $ 770 to $ 1,000. The laptops included in this line are the followings: H HP Pavilion dv2800t, P Pavilion dv6700t and HP Pavilion dv2700t.

Mentioned above, HP laptops are available along with some customized features. HP laptops fall in the category of high-end models with the latest features and configuration. There are many accessories available for business purposes. Each notebook comes with the Business Edition of Windows Vista and other business related software pack.

HP has established itself as a solid brand. Their success is because of their formidable sales machine on one hand, but also because the quality of their products. HP laptop is always a high customer satisfaction rating. If you are in buying mode, Hp laptop should lead to the top of your list.

Bluetooth Headphones Review: Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Bluetooth Headphones Review: Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Many online reviews for bluetooth headphones have claimed that the Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset is way ahead of its time.  And, rightly so, because the device not only has a futuristic appearance but also ultramodern features designed for user comfort, convenience, and satisfaction.

The Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset is one of the very few bluetooth headphones that you can suitably use for outdoor activities and other endeavors that require much physical movement.  For example, this particular device is fast becoming common among bikers, runners, and joggers.  One reason for this is that the headset sits securely in place because it is a behind-the-head type of unit.  And, quite light in weight, too.

Apparently, the Motorola S305 appears to be designed for extreme use.  On the surface, the outer appearance looks fragile and delicate.  But, users have discovered that they’ve been fooled.  The Motorola S305 is tough and sturdy.  It is hard to damage it easily without actually intending to.

Besides being durable in construction, the unit has been praised for being excellent in resisting sweat damage.  People who use this headset during long runs or intense workouts have dripped their sweat on the headset all right, yet it remains as functional as ever.  One downside, however, to using this headset in exercise activities is that it tends to warm your ears.

The device may be lightweight and compact in design and structure, but it packs enough punch to satisfy and amaze many of its owners.  For one, the sound quality is rich and crisp.  It’s bass range is deep, and the range of subtle sounds that it feeds to your ears is very wide.  The discreet microphone also is sensitive enough to pick up the clearest voice signal.  This way, you won’t have to frequently wonder whether your caller thinks that you are on speakerphone, or worse, whether you are deep inside a well.

The battery has up to about 6 hours of non-stop play time before it will require charging.  And, when you do recharge the unit, you won’t take more than a couple of hours to fully charge the battery.

It features several control buttons.  Depending on how you look at it, this can either be proof of its versatility or an exercise to hurdle with while getting to know each control button.  Regardless, the controls are right where you can easily reach them.  Several people find them somewhat confusing at first, but once you grow accustomed to the button locations, they make operation of the headset extremely convenient.

Overall, with its durable construction and great audio features and controls, the Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset is indeed a futuristic example of bluetooth headphones.

Question by MaviGozler: Reviews or Recommendations for Best Bluetooth USB Adapter
I am looking to buy a Bluetooth USB adapter but don’t want to buy some no-name brand that will probably burn out in 5 hours and involve a warranty hassle or company that closes its doors the minute they have hustled 50,000 of these con jobs.

I want either a good recommendation for a make and model or a web site that reviews the various brands. If I buy a make and model you recommend, or the review web site you give me is the factor in my decision as to what to buy, then you get the 10 pts.

Best answer:

Answer by youngboy1606
This is the site I would buy from. They are my distributors. This is also the dongle I would buy.

http://www.directron.com/usbbt100.html

You need to make sure that this one is 2.0 compliant BEFORE you buy it.

There are no Vista drivers on the website for it so make sure if you use Vista that it will function.

Bluetooth Headset Features To Look For When Shopping

Bluetooth Headset Features To Look For When Shopping

Sound Quality

Sound quality is the most important quality. If you can’t hear or be heard, then the call you are making is pointless. Poor headsets may have static, poor microphones, speakers, or poor placement of those elements. If you’ve ever made a call and the person on the other end is complaining about not being able to hear you, it is usually a sign of a bad headset.

Noise Canceling

Another factor that makes sound quality good is physical and electronic enhancements. Physical enhancements help block out unwanted noise and wind with screens or filters on the headset. On the electronic level, there are noise canceling features. Noise canceling features are becoming pretty standard, although not every brand has a good noise canceling system as others. Test it out or read about other users’ experiences before settling.

Battery Life

Others will prize the battery life of a headset. Most headsets come with pretty good batteries made to last for 5 or more hours of conversation without having to recharge. Some even come with recharging cases so you can extend that talk time during downtime. Some batteries do not last as long as the manufacturer says it does. Check with user reviews to make sure they are actually living up to advertisements.

Comfort

For some, comfort tops this list as well. If you can’t wear a headset without it hurting, then you won’t want to use it at all. If it doesn’t fit, you couldn’t even use it if you wanted to. There are usually customization extras added to most bluetooth headsets to ensure that you will have a better experience though. Weight and design of the headset also factor into how comfortable it will be for you. Comfort is something you can sort of go by when taking other people’s advice. However the shape of your ears and head can be pretty unique and may not match what others have experienced.

And More?

There are other little things like ease of use, convenience of buttons, size of buttons, color and other features that will affect how users like a headset. The look or color may be a deal breaker for some people, and this is all left up to personal preferences.
