I know that you can do this with an iphone, but im wondering if you can stream the music on your droid x through bluetooth to bluetooth capable home speakers. IF so, do you know how?

Sure can. Just connect the device to it (pairing). Then any “media” playback will go through BT instead of internal speakers.

Question by andromeadae: How do I connect my razr v3 to my new Car stereo with bluetooth capability?
My new Car stereo is a Kenwood kdc-mp438u, and it is bluetooth ready, but my phone doesnt find a device. Why isnt it finding it? Everything else is working fine, CD, Ipod, radio etc.

Answer by Sick214
make sure the bluetooth function on the stereo itself is on, refer to the manual for steps.
if it still does not work, try using a friends phone and see if it works.
a friend was having a similar problem with another stereo and another cell phone.. turned out the problem was his cellphone. for some odd reason it would not detect certain bluetooth devices, my guess… his cellphone was too old.

adminBluetooth FAQs & How-tos blackberry pearl, Bluetooth, computer, mac os 10, obex, obex file transfer, object exchange
Question by Elizabeth: How do I get Macbook to receive file from Blackberry Pearl via Bluetooth?
Once everything is paired up, I send the file using Bluetooth on BB Pearl and it never goes beyond “Searching”
Best answer:
Answer by Leo
I found this on a blog for some one else who had the same problem
1. The last time it worked I was using Mac OS 10.4. This allowed for file transfer via Bluetooth in a slightly different manner than 10.5. For example, when the bb connects to the computer, it loads the OBEX service (drivers) to the device and effectively open the blackberry up for object exchange (file transfer). From what I can tell, this service is now a clandestine part of 10.5 whereas, in 10.4 it was overt. What does this mean?
2. This means that in 10.5 the services do exist and file transfer is still possible, but more steps are required to achieve the desired results.
3. First, make sure both devices (computer and blackberry) are in “discoverable” mode and have been paired.
4. Perform the following in 10.5: select a file from the computer via the Bluetooth File transfer assistant – select “send file via Bluetooth” – Now, set the blackberry to “Receive file via Bluetooth” – doing this it will enable the device to receive the file and, seemingly enable the obex file transfer service. Once it completes, send a file in the other direction (from the blackberry to the computer). It should work.
I think the disparity occurred when I upgraded from 10.4 to 10.5 because 10.4 did not require so many steps to perform to complete the file transfer. I think Apple must have changed something in 10.5 and made it more difficult, or was trying to hide the obex service (maybe they considered it a security issue or something). Who knows? I hope this helps.

Question by boxerelement: How do I get my motorola razr v3 with bluetooth to communicate with my windows xp on my laptop and pc?
I have bluetooth capability on the phone, but do I need special software so the phone will recognize the PC and vice versa? I am interested in transferring photos from phone to laptop and desktop PC. If I buy a bluetooth headset will that serve as a kind of router for a connection to the pcs?
Best answer:
Answer by Sean I.T.
You need to make your PC capable of bluetooth just like you have to make your PC wireless to use wireless router.
Just get a bluetooth adapter for your PC and as soon as you plug it in, you will be able to communicate with your motorola.

Its an example of what it looks like. You just plug it into your USB port. The software is downloadable on the internet or you can get it from Motorola.
Bluetooth headset works with your phone without wires. You just have to set your cell phone to connect with the bluetooth headset and you can use it immediately.
